Once again Rotaract Club Luxembourg joined the Croix-Rouge (Red Cross) Bazaar at the Hall Victor Hugo in Limpertsberg, Luxembourg to help raise money for the less fortunate families in Luxembourg.

Our members, guests and volunteers managed to raise about EUR 750 by selling candles and christmas family pictures.

Thank you to everyone who contributed.

The Rotaract Club of Luxembourg is pleased to announce that Mrs Paula Gomes, manager of Defi-Job, a non-profit organisation promoting the socioeconomic reintegration of the incarcerated population at the prison of Givenich, will give us a presentation about the Jailbird project, a venture which aims to reduce the risk of social exclusion by addressing unemployment in a group with specific needs. Please feel free to forward the invitation. We will be meeting on October 25, 7pm at Les Dolmens, 3 rue Beck. Please contact us if you can attend and if you plan to bring guests.

Dear Rotaracters and Guests!

Last weekend I had a pleasure to be in Wroclaw, Poland, at The Rotaract European Meeting as a Country Representative of Luxembourg. These 2 days I had a chance to discover the city, to meet new friends all around the Europe and to present our club and our projects.  I would like to share with you information about other coming international events which I hope to attend with some of you J Save the dates!

I would like to attract your attention to Twinship, when 2 clubs from different countries share projects or do cultural exchange. I think it could be very interesting for our club, especially because we have borders with 3 other countries!

Last weekend in Wroclaw I and other members of Social committee organised a speed “Twin Dating” where Rotaractors had 1 minute to tell about their most successful projects and 1 minute to decide what they could do together.  There were 25 clubs participating in Dating and we found out 4 Twin couples (regardless the gender J )!

Every year the Social committee of ERIC organises a Twin Club Award and this year the winners will get a free invitation to EUCO 2012 in Moscow!!!

The Rotaract Club of Luxembourg is pleased to announce that Mrs Amal Choury who was nominated Woman Business Manager of the year 2010 by Dexia will be giving a presentation about her career and her experience as a female business manager on September 13.Amal Choury is a member of the Rotary Club Luxembourg Schuman to which she donated half of the 10,000EUR that came with the award.It will for sure be an inspiring talk and hopefully many of you will be able to attend.
